Who Our Therapy Services Are For

People come to Juniper Blu Collective at all different points. Some have been thinking about therapy for months and finally decided to reach out. Others have done therapy before and need a better fit. Some are in crisis. Some aren’t sure if what they’re experiencing even “counts.”

All of it counts.

Our therapists work with adults, young adults, couples, families, and teens across Maryland, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. You don’t need a diagnosis to start, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before your first session.

If any of this sounds familiar, our team can help.

Maybe anxiety has gotten to the point where it’s affecting your work, your sleep, or your relationships. Maybe you’re navigating an eating disorder or a complicated relationship with food and your body. Maybe there’s trauma you haven’t fully processed, whether it happened recently or years ago, and it keeps showing up in ways you didn’t expect.

Some people come to us because depression has made it hard to feel motivated or hopeful. Others are dealing with OCD, intrusive thoughts, or compulsive behaviors that feel impossible to control. Some are stuck in the same relationship or intimacy patterns and can’t figure out why. Some are parents whose child or teen is struggling, and they don’t know how to help.

We also work with people navigating grief, chronic illness, life transitions, and burnout. And for people who are neurodivergent, including those with autism and ADHD, our therapists take an affirming approach that respects how you think and experience the world rather than trying to change it.

When collaborative care makes sense, we work alongside dietitians, nutritionists, psychiatrists, and primary care physicians to make sure your support extends beyond the therapy session.

Our Clinical Approach

Juniper Blu Collective is an evidence-based, trauma-informed practice. That means every therapist on our team is trained in approaches that are backed by research, and every session is shaped by an understanding of how trauma affects the mind and body.

The specific approach depends on your therapist and what works best for you. Across the practice, our clinicians draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), art therapy, attachment-oriented therapy, mindfulness-informed care, somatic and holistic practices, and narrative and solution-focused techniques.

We also take a neurodivergence-affirming approach across the practice, which means we don’t treat autism, ADHD, or other forms of neurodivergence as problems to fix. Our therapists work with you on your terms, respecting how you think, communicate, and process.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all practice. Your therapist will talk with you about what approach makes the most sense and adjust as you go.

What People Say About Working With Us

""

“Juniper Blu Collective makes me feel seen, heard, and truly understood. Artemis’s neurodiversity-affirming approach has helped me feel more empowered and better prepared to navigate a world full of systemic challenges, while maintaining my sense of autonomy and dignity. She offers tangible, practical tools that I can carry from our sessions into my daily life.

She “gets it”—bringing both deep empathy and a thoughtful ability to hold me accountable. That balance has felt both rare and incredibly supportive of my growth.”

– Patient with Juniper Blu Collective

“I reached out to Juniper Blu Collective after my daughter had a positive experience with her therapist. From the outset, the team was highly responsive and provided several therapist options tailored to my needs.

After being matched with Stacey, we had an excellent introductory session, and over the past year, I have experienced significant progress toward my therapeutic goals. Stacey has equipped me with a range of effective strategies to support my growth and has been instrumental in helping me process challenging situations as they arise.

I have confidently recommended Juniper Blu Collective to coworkers and friends seeking therapy services, and I am grateful to have such a valuable resource supporting my mental health.”

– Patient with Juniper Blu Collective

“I have been working with Megan for over five years. I started with her in the hopes of addressing some long standing body image and anxiety issues. Since then, almost everything about my life has changed, and with it brought new and unexpected mental and emotional challenges.

Megan not only patiently worked through those initial concerns with me (to this day is the first person to notice signs of them creeping back in,) she has helped me rise to every challenge since– whether she is teaching me how to cope with various life stressors, holding my hand through the first experiences of grief, or literally talking me down from an anxiety attack, she has been a constant advocate for me to slow down, prioritize my well-being, and recognize my own accomplishments.

I am a better version of myself because of my work with her, and could not recommend her more highly to anyone looking for a licensed therapist to meet them where they are at, and adapt with them from there.”
