About Rachel

Rachel is a counseling intern who works with teenagers and adults navigating a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and body image concerns. She has also worked with adolescents and adults experiencing neurodivergence and major life transitions.

Rachel’s approach to therapy blends practical skill-building with room for deeper self-reflection. In sessions, this may look like exploring how your past experiences are affecting you in the present, developing greater awareness of your emotions, and learning strategies for managing difficult situations and feelings. She approaches therapy with curiosity and empathy and aims to create an environment where people of all identities feel comfortable being themselves.

Rachel takes a collaborative approach to identify what changes you would like to make to live the life you want. Depending on your needs, this might include developing healthier coping strategies, challenging self-critical thoughts, or gaining a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. Rachel believes meaningful change can happen gradually and works with clients to establish goals at a pace that feels manageable to them.

Rachel is a Maryland native and has a background in healthcare research, editorial management, and yoga teaching. She has a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Boston University and is currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She is excited to be a part of the Juniper Blu team!
